I am a passionate educator dedicated to creating engaging and inclusive learning experiences for all students. With a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (Pre-K-6) and a Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction - Gifted and Talented from Regent University, I have spent my career fostering a love for learning in the classroom. As a 6th-grade math teacher and math department head, I strive to build a thinking classroom where students develop deep understanding through collaboration and problem-solving. In addition to my role in the classroom, I serve as a mentor for both the Virginia New Teacher Support Program (VANTSP) and The Modern Classrooms Project, supporting educators in implementing innovative and student-centered instructional practices. Beyond teaching and mentoring, I am actively involved in coaching, student leadership, and professional learning communities, always seeking ways to support and inspire both students and colleagues.
